Frequently Asked Questions - Lone Wolf Trailer Co.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here's a few questions that folks ask us from time to time and the answers we give them when they call us.

Q.     When I have my trailer loaded and get up to around 45mph my trailer goes side to side, what's wrong with it?

    A.   More than likely, nothing is wrong with the trailer. It sounds like the load is improperly positioned on the trailer too far to the rear. Simply move the load from the rear of the trailer closer to the front  just ahead of the axle. This should help you.

Q.     When I have my trailer loaded it looks like the front tires of my vehicle are going to come off the ground, what's wrong?

    A.   More than likely, nothing is wrong with the trailer. It sounds like the load is improperly positioned on the trailer too far to the front. Simply reposition the load toward the rear of trailer just ahead of the axle until it takes some of the weight off the front of trailer. Don't go to far or you'll have the same issuse as in the first question we discussed.

Q.     When I pull my trailer down the road it seems to hop, with and without a load, it's been doing this for a while but it seems to be getting worse, what's wrong with it?

    A.   Without one of our experts looking at the trailer it's hard to say exactly what is going on, however it sound like a wheel may be trying to come off the trailer. With the trailer empty, grab the trailer tires one at a time then pull and push on it as hard as you can. If the tire moves then more than likely the spindel nut is loose. If tightening this nut doesn't help then there's a wheel bearing going out. Replace it yourself immediately or bring it to Lone Wolf Trailer Company for repair! Not repairing this could cause the wheel to completely come off the trailer endangering everyone around you.
